Rowan's First Birthday



It was hard to narrow the photos down to just a few to share with you all. Rowan wound up having two parties; one here at home and one at my grandmother's. For some the two to three hour drive to get here is just too long, and besides, Grandma wanted to show off her great-granddaughter. The small party I envisioned turned into an open house for the whole family. At it was a lot of fun. So was the smaller one here at home. And the birthday girl held up beautifully to all the pressure...and attention!


Of course we had to have birthday cake. She was enthralled by the lit candle, which her cousin helped her blow out. And as you know, if you aren't messy when you're done, it must not have been all that tasty....
