The kids stuffing their faces with hotdogs and sauce.

I had this lovely idea for a craft activity where they could make their
own dragon badges using wooden cutouts, glitter,
and glue. Jeff and I stayed up the night before painting them and drilling
little holes in the shapes. So what do the kids
do? Pour on tons of glue and then pile on the glitter. *rofl* You couldn't
tell they'd been painted at all by the time they
were done...and then Rowan got the great idea to stack them like little
wooden sandwiches. They turned out beautiful!
.
After we scrubbed the kids clean of glue and glitter it was time for
the cake..which you can see the birthday girl
enjoying here. She sure likes chocolate. And believe it or not, but
the cake was ALOT less messy than the crafts.
This is a quick "before" shot.
.
Food, crafts, cake, and then presents! I don't think I need to tell
anyone that they are spoiled.Just look at the
photos. Thanks to everyone, Cassie received lots of really nice presents.
And she's enjoyed playing with them all.
Rowan was lucky enough to get some presents
also. Here she is all dolled out in her new
princess accessories. Marianne made the dress
for her to wear last Easter.
